Rhapsody Version 7.5 by IBM Rational and Rose RealTime Version 6.5 by IBM Rational
Rhapsody, starting with 5.0, supports the "Profile for Schedulability and Time" (SPT) passed by the Object Management Group (OMG). Starting with Rhapsody 7.5 there is support for the MARTE profile passed by the OMG to replace the SPT profile.
Rose RealTime Version 6.5 by IBM RationalRAPID RMA is integrated with IBM Rational's RSA tool suite to support the MARTE profile via an Eclipse-based interface available from the OMG website (http://www.omgmarte.org/Tools.htm).
A "bridge" between MARTE for RSA 7.0 (IBM Rational) to RAPID RMA (Tri-Pacific Software) was developed by Thales Research and Technology to perform scheduling analysis of MARTE models.

New in the RapidRMA 6.1 release:
Highlights of features introduced in previous releases:
For installation on MS-Windows, RAPID RMA 6.1 uses an Installshield script which asks the usual questions about what directory to use and so forth. The difference with the release of RapidRMA 6.1 is that the install files are bundled with the RapidRMA for Rhapsody 7.5 install. The user will have the option to install just RapidRMA 6.1 or both RapidRMA 6.1 and RapidRMA for Rhapsody 7.5. This eliminates the need for multiple install scripts. So after downloading the file "RhapRMA-6_1_and_7.5-WIN.EXE", just click on it to start the installation. Java runtime 1.6 should be installed prior to installing RAPID RMA. Also if you will be installing RapidRMA for Rhapsody 7.5 the user should have Rhapsody 7.5.x installed. If not then Rhapsody 7.5.x should be downloaded and installed prior to installing the RapidRMA for Rhapsody 7.5 integration.
For installation on MS-Windows, RAPID RMA 6.0 uses an Installshield script which asks the usual questions about what directory to use and so forth. So after downloading the file "RAPIDRMA-6_0_0-WIN.EXE", just click on it to start the installation. Java runtime 1.6 should be installed prior to installing RAPID RMA.
For installing RAPID RMA 5.3.3 on MS-Windows, RAPID RMA 5.3.3 uses an Installshield script which asks the usual questions about what directory to use and so forth. So after downloading the file "RAPIDRMA-5_3_3-WIN.EXE", just click on it to start the installation. Java runtime 1.3.1_15 should be installed prior to installing RAPID RMA.
For installation on Solaris and Linux, the distribution is a compressed 'tar' file. After un'tar'ing, a short installation shell script needs to be run to create the application invocation shell script.
To run the RAPID RMA program, an electronic license key must be obtained by sending email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . License keys may be requested in order to evaluate the product.

RAPID RMA and UML RMA require a Java run-time environment (JRE) be installed.
For the current release of RAPID RMA, RAPID RMA 6.0 (standalone for Windows), use Java JRE 1.6. This is available free from Sun Microsystems, Inc. Here are links to Sun's Java website and to a page where you may start downloading the JRE.
Use Java JRE 1.3.1_15 (release 1.3 should be upgraded). This is available free from Sun Microsystems, Inc. Here are links to Sun's Java website, and to a page where you may start downloading the JRE.
The Java download pages have moved around a bit in website reorganizations over the years. If you can't find it, try searching for it in Sun's Java website or send us a message at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Here are the vendor executables to be used in conjunction with the FLEXlm "lmgrd" license manager program. The license manager and a vendor executable are required to serve floating licenses. You only need one of these vendor executables, the one for the platform where the license server will run. It will be able to serve clients on all these platforms.
The FLEXlm programs, the license manager program "lmgrd" and the support utility programs "lmutil" and "lmtools" (the latter MS-Windows only) can be downloaded from the FLEXlm vendor (formerly Globetrotter, now Macrovision) website. The URL for the page to access the utilities is http://www.globes.com/support/fnp_utilities_download.htm.
Page down to find the sections that enumerate the FLEXlm supported platforms. For each platform, the page lists the available FLEXlm utilities. Get the appropriate program for the platform where the license server will run.
For the convenience of MS-Windows users, we provide a FLEXlm installation package that includes the license manager program "lmgrd.exe" and the support utility program "lmtools.exe". If you already have FLEXlm installed, you probably do not want to install this package. If you do install this package, you still need to download the vendor executable "tripac.exe" for the MS-Windows Intel platform.
