OMG MARTE UML working group finalizing MARTE standard. The Object Management Group (OMG) MARTE UML working group is finalizing the MARTE (Modeling and Analysis of Real-time and Embedded systems) standard for use with Real-Time UML tools such as IBM Rational Rhapsody and Tri-Pacific Software's RapidRMA real-time analysis tool suite. This specification of a UML® profile adds capabilities to UML for model-driven development of Real Time and Embedded Systems (RTES). This extension, called the UML profile for MARTE (in short MARTE), provides support for specification, design, and verification/validation stages. This new profile is intended to replace the existing UML Profile for Schedulability, Performance and Time (formal/03-09-01). For more information, visit the MARTE web site at http://www.omgmarte.org.
