Tri-Pacific Software Announces Lucent Technologies' Use of Real-Time Analysis Tools for DSP Architecture Verification
Allentown, Pennsylvania, March 28, 2000. Tri-Pacific Software Inc. (TPSI) suite of real-time analysis tools is being used by Lucent Technologies Microelectronics Group to assist in validating Lucent's digital signal processor (DSP) system solution architectures. Tri-Pacific Software is a leader in real-time analysis and scheduling technologies. Tri-Pacific Software and Lucent are using Tri-Pacific's RapidRMA modeling software to describe the data flow in Lucent's next generation systems prior to system completion. RapidRMA employs Rate Monotonic Analysis to prove the schedulability of complex systems. In addition, Tri-Pacific Software is offering consulting support to ensure that the Lucent DSP architectures can handle the high data throughput rates required in advanced wireless applications. This will enable Lucent engineers to confidently predict throughput capacity for specific customer's applications. Tri-Pacific Software Inc. (TPSI) is a privately held corporation with headquarters in Alameda, California. TPSI is the leader in real-time analysis and scheduling technologies and the maker of RapidRMA, RapidSim, RapidBuild and RapidSched. RapidRMA is the industry leading Rate Monotonic Analysis (RMA) tool. RapidBuild is an innovative rapid prototyping tool for Wind River Systems VxWorks users. RapidSim is a discrete event simulator which provides finer granularity timing analysis to RapidRMA model analysis. RapidSched is the first Real-Time CORBA 1.0 compliant Scheduling Service. CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) is a trademark of the OMG (Object Management Group). VxWorks is a registered trademark of Wind River Systems. RapidRMA, RapidSim, RapidBuild and RapidSched are trademarks of Tri-Pacific Software Inc. Lucent Technologies designs, builds and delivers a wide range of public and private networks, communications systems and software, data networking systems, business telephone systems, and microelectronics components. Bell Labs is the research and development arm for the company. For more information on Lucent Technologies, headquartered in Murray Hill, N.J., USA, visit its web site at http://www.lucent.com.
